Impact & M&E

We’re early. Here’s exactly where we’re headed.

YDLC is in its founding year. Rather than inflate numbers we haven’t earned, this page shows our theory of change, the indicators we'll measure, and only the results we've verified — whatever they show.

Our accountability commitment: Every published figure on this page carries a reporting period, a metric definition, a source, and a verification status. Our first Annual Report, published Fall 2027, will show actual performance against every goal — including any we miss.

Key indicators

What we measure — and what we've verified.

Configurable indicators connected to programs and reporting periods. Only verified, public figures appear below.

No verified figures have been published yet. Our first results will be reported against the indicators below after Cohort 01 concludes. We'd rather show nothing than a number we can't stand behind.

Methodology

How YDLC measures impact — in plain language.

Reach counts anyone who completes program intake — not a website visit or event RSVP.

Completion means attending ≥80% of sessions and submitting the end-of-program reflection, not just enrolling.

Mentors count only after onboarding and active pairing — not those who simply expressed interest.

Outcomes use start/end participant-reported surveys plus facilitator observation; we keep internal operational data separate from public reporting.

Verification: each published figure carries a reporting period, definition, source, and verification status. Only verified figures appear publicly.

Final measurement definitions and any third-party evaluation partner will be confirmed before Cohort 01 concludes.

M&E principles

  • Separate internal operational data from public reporting.
  • No figure published without verification.
  • Show what we missed, not just what we hit.
  • Indicators stay configurable as we learn.
What we are learning

Honest about what we don't know yet.

We test before we scale

Founding programs run one cohort before any expansion decisions — we learn from the first cycle, then grow.

We report misses too

If we miss a target, we say so and explain what we're changing — self-promotion isn't learning.

We ask, then adjust

Participant and mentor feedback each term shapes the next cohort's curriculum and support.

Accountability goes beyond goals.
